Mangal Crawler

A city on eight legs.

Mangal is the first mobile Martian settlement — a walking pressurized village that follows sunlight, resources, and curiosity across the red plains.

Mission purpose

Long-duration Martian surface habitation and continent-scale exploration.

Static bases are museums waiting to happen. Mangal walks. Twenty settlers, farms, labs, and workshops in a single articulated craft crossing 40 km per Martian day.

Powered by a compact fission core and a folding photovoltaic sail, it drinks Martian water and breathes Martian air, split by electrolysis into fuel and life.
